Operation Christmas Child (OCC) partners with churches worldwide to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After receiving shoebox gifts, many children are discipled through the Samaritan's Purse Bible study course, The Greatest Journey, where they learn to become faithful followers of Christ and share their faith with others. Over 80,000 churches across the United States participate in OCC. Last year (2017), CITCF was able to assemble and send 468 shoebox gifts. The Trinidad area assembled over 700 G.O. Boxes filled with clothing, toys, school supplies and other fun things which went to the Pueblo distribution center before continueing on to Denver. And of course before leaving for delivery in places near and far around the world, these Gospel Opertunity boxes also had the Good News of Jesus Christ placed in them with the Greatest Journey study book.  In 2017, Samaritan's Purse distributed over 11 million shoebox gifts around the world! We'll keep you posted on this years totals.
